Job Objectives:
General objective:
To define, in remote control, interventions modalities of the training part of the EC-LRRD 3 years agricultural project in Ghor Province and to train the FS team and to identify adapted activities relevant to the afghan agricultural production
Responsibilities:
- Define methodology to ensure the capacity building on production systems and natural resources management
- Define trainings curriculum and content according to the project’s expected development and adapted to each level of the targeted participants
- Conception and publication of all IEC materials supporting the trainings: booklets, leaflets and poster
- Recrutement and training of a Training officer potential external contributor that will provide the trainings locally ( training to ACF team and to community promotors)
- To plan the training activities all along the 3 years of project
- To define follow up and monitoring methodology (indicators, format and collection means)
- Definition of activities of the framework of the food facility programme (if CN and Proposal accepted by EC)
- To develop the activities proposed in the Food facility proposal with an technical point of view (improved agricultural inputs provision, water ressources management (irrigated and rainfed areas) and home gardening)
- To train the team on the modalities of intervention
Definition of activities relevant to the differents agricultural systems and issues met in Afghanistan (water productivity, irrigation system, soil improvement, diversification of the food production…) - To identify the most appropriate intervention (for ACF) to streghten the agricultural production in its area of intervention

Qualifications:
Qualification and previous experience:
- Agronomist or deep knowledge in natural ressources management /agriculture /vegetable growing
- Strong capacities in training/capacity building adapted to local context.
- Experienced in monitoring.
- Trained Good organisational skills.
- Ability to work in remote conditions.
- Ability to manage personnel in a difficult environment (supervision and training of personnel of different levels: expatriates, engineers, community workers, educators…), ability to develop a strategy and to work in collaboration with senior partners; capacity for working in full autonomy would be appreciated; high mobility is also appreciated
