Job Objectives: 
Website Maintenance and Monitoring
  • Content Management System: Maintenance and expansion of Action Against Hunger USA’s database-driven, Drupal-based website.
  • Content Management: update content regularly, monitor site resources (including bandwidth, sever space, error pages, etc.), create landing pages, and reorganize new sections as needed.
  • User Management: monitor user accounts, user updates and password management.
  • Multimedia: collect, add, and manage video, photo, audio, and other digital resources (e.g., Google Earth Pro grant and Google Earth).
  • Online Donations: create and manage online forms through Convio platform
  • Manage Online Resources: outreach campaign URLs (NoFamine.org, ThereIsASolution.org site, etc.)
    Online Marketing
  • Web Metrics: actively track Google Analytics and use web trends to improve website usability and visibility.
  • E-marketing: support efforts in search engine optimization, online advertising (e.g., Google AdWords account) and marketing strategies
  • Oversee Social Networking Sites: ACF’s presence and profiles on FaceBook.com, Flickr.com, MySpace.com, Change.org, Orkut.com, etc., to create constituencies and inbound links to ACF’s sites.
  • Monthly Donation Campaign: Help redesign monthly donation section and all other Convio donation forms.
  • Web Strategy: contribute to broader discussions on how to drive more traffic to ACF’s website, capitalize on trends in visitation, and help implement new online initiatives.
    Graphic Design & Imaging
  • Ensure brand management in all aspects of online publishing, use of imagery, and graphics
  • Help optimize ACF’s photo and video libraries
    General Administration
  • Respond quickly to urgent requests, manage breaking news on the web, and answer inquiries from website users, relevant public inquiries, etc.
  • Act as liaison for ACF’s International Network on web-related issues (inter-HQ info exchanges; asset sharing, etc.)
    Email Communications
  • Manage email templates (HTML, plain text) for ACF’s newsletters.
  • Ensure functioning infrastructure for regular email communications and marketing.
  • Ensure CRM best practices (Constituent Relationship Management) through online communications with ACF’s audiences, donors, and supporters.
  • Qualifications: 
    Requirements
  • Proficiency in HTML, XHTML, and CSS.
  • Experience using a Content Management System, preferably Drupal.
  • Minimum of 2 URLs to demonstrate web portfolio.
  • 2+ years of strong web design and website management skills, including “tableless” layout and content editing.
  • Experience in Photoshop and optimization of graphics for the web.
  • Familiarity with cross browser issues, W3C standards, user interface design principles, and usability accessibility issues.
    Preferred
  • Working knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
