About Devrig Velly

Devrig Velly, Food Security Advisor

Mr. Devrig has been the Food Security Coordinator with ACF-USA since March 2004. Before working at the ACF Headquarters in New York, Devrig worked with Action Contre la Faim (ACF) in missions directed by the Paris office. Mr. Devrig has designed and managed programs in Mozambique (2001, resettlement activities following the flood of Zambeze river), North Caucasus (2001, Food aid activities), Indonesia (2002-2005, Targeted Seeds and Tools, Fishing equipment, Income generating activities, Food security surveillance system), Sri Lanka and Papua-Indonesia (2004, Food Security Surveys). A few days after the South Asian Tsunami Mr. Devrig was sent to the province of Aceh, Indonesia to lead assessments on food security conditions and coordinate emergency food aid activities.

Devrig studied Geography and land planning in Brittany (Brest and Nantes). He worked for 2 years in urbanism and architecture agencies in Brittany and Paris before he commenced his work in a humanitarian field.
