Luis Manuel Garcia Lopez, Field Financial Comptroller

Luis Manuel Garcia Lopez began working for Action Against Hunger in 1997 as the financial and administrative head of our mission in Haiti, and two years later became the financial and administrative supervisor of eight missions run by our offices in Madrid. In January 2001, he assumed the financial overseeing of all missions managed by Madrid headquarters. He has been Field Finance and Administration Manager at our New York headquarters since 2006. Mr. Garcia Lopez speaks English, Spanish, French, Basque, and Creole. Before the start of his work with ACF Mr.Garcia Lopez began his career as treasurer and accountant for two regional associations in Spain, before becoming a financial adviser of Bilbao Vizcaya Bank.

Luis Manuel Garcia Lopez was born in Bilbao, Spain, and earned degrees in economics from universities in Bilbao and in Lille, France.
